According to the UN, construction activities account for 37% of the global emissions of greenhouse gasses and is the largest contributor to climate change. The production and use of materials as cement, steel and aluminum have a significant carbon footprint. At NNE, we systematically limit these emissions to meet our customer’s ambitions and regulatory requirements.
We have developed a carbon footprint estimator to identify hotspots, compare alternative design solutions and evaluate the effects of decisions with quantified during the project execution. This approach is also applied in process design, for instance to estimate the circular economy potential in establishing processes to separate and purify solvents for reuse.
