In collaboration with our collaborator ClearEdge3D, NNE Denmark recently invited 50 students from various study programmes within machine learning and Artificial Intelligence to spend four days at NNE in Virum trying to solve a complex problem.
The problem at the heart of the INNOTECH3D hackathon was a direct spin-off from an internal project at NNE aiming to optimise construction processes in various ways. In a spontaneous display of NNE’s values (passion, innovation, initiative, and team spirit), the participants embraced the challenge and quickly busied themselves with developing AI features exceeding the capabilities of current construction systems.
While we cannot report on the details of the ideas generated during the hackathon in this article, we can state that organisers and delegates from both NNE and ClearEdge3D were generally impressed by the students’ ideas and determination to develop strong solutions advancing the current state of the art. Seeing this kind of talent applied so readily and constructively to a complex problem offered a promising glimpse into the future of technology and engineering.
Thanks to everyone who participated in INNOTECH3D for your dedication, innovation, and passion.
